The warning time for nuclear war has been roughly 10 to 15 minutes since the deployment of Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles years ago. Cruise missiles fly subsonic, too. They would have to be based awfully close to reach their targets in 30 minutes or so. I think he means the Pershing ballistic missiles that are deployed in Europe with the Cruise Missiles. Ronnie has already said we will pull them out if the Soviet SS20's are pulled as well. It is sad to have an arm race. But the US and Europe have been walking while the USSR has been racing. US: 3 new missiles in the last ten years. USSR: 6(?) in the last ten years. Be realistic when you get angry about policies and such you disagree with. John Testa UCSD Chemistry sdcsvax!sdccs6!ix241
