The point, however, is quite faulty. The fault lies in equating "government" in Reagan's quote with "country" in Kennedy's. They are TWO *ENTIRELY* DIFFERENT THINGS! If things are as they should be, I serve my country in whatever way I am best able, and my government SERVES ME in my desire to contribute to the good of my country, and of the world. That service TO me FROM government is what I am owed by it for the money it costs me to support it. Yes, I know it doesn't happen that way.
