Dear Suzanne,

Gee, I'm sorry I picked on you.  From your first flame I got the
impression that you were a rational, educated adult.  I can see
now that you probably haven't finished high school.  

It is just as well you don't want to discuss this with me any more,
because I, for the life of me, can't figure out what you are trying
to say in your second flame.  For instance, what does this mean:

If you knew anything at all about Irish history, dear, you would know
that those people were slaughtering one another for hundreds of years
before the "English" (originally the Normans) ever showed up.
