  Given the kind of businessman that DeLorean was (is) I think that if he were
to participate in a drug deal he would try to arrange the major drug deal on his
own in order to get more of a cut.  I realize, though, that his time was getting
short while this was going on, and if he did do such a thing "organized crime" 
would not be amused.

  There was an interview with Rolling Stone about 2 years ago, but both
sides would have incentive to pad the truth.  DeLorean gave some specifics
on the nature of the threats, and even (as I recall) mentioned receiving
a threating phone call at home.
