   Afghanistan a soviet satellite before 1979 ?? Bullsh*t !! Afghanistan was
a mecca for masses of Europeans,Aussies & Kiwis looking for cheap (VERY CHEAP)
dope in the late 60s through the mid 70's. Does this sound like a soviet 
satellite's policy ? The fact that a socialist/communist government was in
power IMMEDIATELY before the soviet invasion was a help to the USSR,but to
state that it was a soviet satellite because of the governments policies 
would mean that Jamaica was a soviet satellite as well before the present 
government displaced the more leftist government.
