Moving the menhir will no doubt help with the dog because you find a big dog collar in the room behind the menhir. To move the menhir you get the demon to kill the wizard and then get the wizard's wand and say "Float" to the menhir. To get the demon to do that you have to give him enough treasure. Now, my question to anyone is where IS the stupid dog? I've heard many references to it but never come across it.
