The manual for my ICOM R71 receiver (a truly fine piece of gear!)
shows the frequency coverage as 0.1 MHz to 30 MHz.  Underneath that
it has "Australian version: 2.0MHz to 30.0MHz" and "German
version 0.15MHz to 26.1MHz".  Are these coutries protecting their
own SW receiver industry or don't they want the population to
listen to some magic segment of spectrum?
