Although he attended kindergarten and 1st grade in public school, we felt that the influences of the public school environment were not to our liking. And besides, my wife feels that she can do a better job than an average public school teacher. I would be interested in hearing from others who are home- schooling their children or are considering doing so. What are the benefits and problems that you have encountered? What is the position of your local school district on home-schooling? Of the state that you live in? Here in Pennsylvania, the law require school attendence after age eight. Depending on the school district parents may or may not be forced to send their children to school after that age. -- Tom Albrecht Burroughs Corp. SDG/Devon
