You should not make the deposit for as little as an understanding that the dealer will process your order. The obvious thing is to anticipate the circumstances in which you would want your deposut back, and make them conditions at the time of deposit: - deposit will be refunded on if car is not delivered. - deposit will be refunded if delivered cars lacks , or merchantability. You want your money to wirk for you while the car dealer has it, so the dealer must have some incentive to deliver.
