"MM doesn't shoot RFC822, people shoot RFC822."  Sorry, by no stretch of
the imagination can your "power tool" argument justify sending illegal
(I mean, invalid) headers out into world.  MM can do whatever it wants,
but your SMTP mailer is responsible for supplying the safety glasses if
MM doesn't.
