There are other commands which can be used to "become" some other user which do ensure valid RFC 822 header lines. A "power tool" is something which lets the user go beyond the program's (narrow) interpretation of whatever standard...either to use some unimplemented or new feature...or in this case to violate it. Now hold on! Just because I like to modify my headers, it doesn't mean that I am violating the mailsystem!
