OS9 is a "unix-like" operating system originally designed to highlight the capablities of the 6809 microprocessor and is now also available for the 68000. OS9 features things like a "shell", pipes, i/o redirection, user installable device drivers, memory management for systems with several megabytes of memory using a 6809 (!), a tree structured filesystem, etc. I've only just started using it, but I'm sure the people on net.micro.6809 can tell you much more (and in greater detail) than I. --Dwight McKay, PUCC user services (... ihnp4!pur-ee!Pucc-H:aam) _________________________________________________________________________ "Fascinating.
