The command does not update the end of file mark in the dBASE III file, but it does update the record count in the dBASE III structure. The result being, that records that have been "INSERT"ed fall into the "great bit bucket in the sky". Ashton Tate recognizes the bug as a "catagory 1 anomaly", and gives the following work-around: 1. APPEND a BLANK row to the table in use 2. CLOSE the DATABASE 3. USE the DATABASE 4. INSERT only one record The technician I spoke with said that there would be a "fix" available by October at the earliest. --------- tektronix!carters
