It was announced at the Video Software Dealers Association trade show in Las Vegas this week that CBS-Fox Video purchased the video rights for 12 million. It will be available in both VHS and Beta formats. Unfortunately, they won't be using the same pricing policy as with other hits such as Raiders of the Lost Ark ($39.95), people will have to pay a premium price for it. As Leonard White with CBS-Fox said, "We won't follow their (Paramount's) price-cutting. Paramount does a wonderful job of creating good will, but we feel they're leaving money on the table." An obvious sign of greed, and I feel such a policy will not put a dent in pirate copies. Hopefully they will see the error of their ways and make the best of the three films available to the masses. kitten~ {ucbvax!unisoft| scgvaxd | trwrb | felix}!pertec!kitten
