    Holy moley, pal, do you take everything this seriously? You must
    be a real blast at a party!

    I joke about stuff like that all the time, and I consider myself (and
    am considered by those who know me) an eminently "rational" person.
    What strikes me as irrational is the paranoia that compels some people
    to find dark motives hidden behind the most innocent of acts.

    And besides, I do not "get my kicks from torturing puppies (I leave
    that to Syrians);"  I get mine from torturing ideologues...
