Being how this is the first time that I've rafted in the fall, I'm not exactly certain what kind of clothes I should plan to wear. I already have a paddlejacket, but am not sure what I should wear beneath it (in the summer I usually wear a T-shirt, or what I should wear for pants. A guide that I spoke with this summer said that I probably would not need a wet suit as long as I did not go into the water (ha ha). I expect to be wet for most of the trip. FYI, the Gauley is a dam fed river which flows through a 500 foot deep canyon. I expect that we'll be in shade for a good part of the trip, and that the water will be cold. I would expect that the air temperature will be at around 60 to 70 degrees. Any advice would be most appriciated.
