The motivation is therefore not unlike that of the anti-Semite, racist, or rapist. I disagree. The motivation to "purge" the race of foreign ideologies and racial and ethnic impurities, is not necessarily fear. I imagine in most cases the queer-basher is responding to his own inner sense of what is right and wrong. This needn't involve fear. Just as Nazi ideology called the Jews "germs", a queer-basher must have lost sight of the fact that both he and his victim are God's creation. This, I believe is true.
