Computer Vision Lab Lines: 10 Yes, there is a sequal to "Gateway" by Fredrick Pohl. It is entitled "Beyond the Blue Event Horizon." And yes, enough people liked "Gateway" for it to win the Hugo award for best SF novel that year. Unfortunately, BtBEH is not nearly so good. There is suposed to be a third (and final?) book in the series (I forget if I heard the title) and I got the impression that it should be out soon (i.e., soon when I heard about it - so I would have expected it to be out now), but I have heard no more since then.
