He said it a sufficiently large number of years ago that I'm sure he included women. For "ignorant", it is easy to substitute the relevant word - such as "bigoted", or "guilty", or "immature". Perhaps we could all bear this in mind ? Personally, I am irrationally biassed against all people who do not spell words as recommended in the Oxford English Dictionary. I don't spill my ire all over the poor, long-suffering net audience. Sigh.
