You are being naive. MOTOS = Members Of The Opposite Sex as in the news group: MOTSS = Members Of The Same Sex Both of these ignore the general rule that acronyms do not include unimportant words like "of", and "the". Also I would guess from context that SO stands for Sex Object. Does anyone using it care to define it? This kind of thing can lead to people using terminology they would not approve of if they knew what it meant! And I thought it was only us computer freaks that used lots of acronyms without ever defining them!
