We've been having a bit of a news drought here in San Diego. Brut is on my 'UGH!' list. There are lots of other (unidentified) scented lotions which I also can live without. The absolute worst is a guy wearing a strong scent who hasn't bathed... *gag* I find strong scents on anyone as offensive as having someone smoking cigarettes (yes, even cloves) in the same vicinity as myself. <> Anywhere else is fine, just not in the air that I'm breathing! <> Much, much more offensive than makeup... At least you don't have to look if you don't like what you see, but you can't just turn off your nose. Now, I am sure that there are a lot of makeup-hating chain smokers (with beards!) who are just dying to disagree... On the other hand, Royal Copenhagen used sparingly, is pretty nice! But that's just a personal opinion. Cindy PS. I have this pet theory that rancid aftershave/cologne is never actually purchased by the offender, but a Christmas gift from a well-meaning (but deluded) woman. Perhaps, if the giver would ask first if the guy actually liked the stuff, and the man answered truthfully, the rest of us would not be needlessly afflicted! (And on that list of "gifts that men like", NOT ONE mentioned aftershave or cologne! Draw your own conclusions.) -- [...]sdcsvax!sdcc3!paloma
