The Kinney's Shoes training manual reccommends (sp) that salesmen read the
women's magazines to keep up with styles.  It also notes that they are much
more likely to be persuaded to buy more than one pair or a purse or similar
item then men.  [I never did sell a purse to a man--I'm 50 miles too far south
:-)]  It also implies that you're lucky to get a man to buy a pair that even
matches his suit . . . 

p.s.  NEVER take a job selling shoes, even if you're desparate. (sp?)
