I just received a letter stating that they do not disclose their annual report or financial statement. No reason was given. Not-for-profit organizations routinely provide financial statements to potential contributors, so NSI's policy seems rather unusual and unfortunate. Even though I agree completely with their aims, I don't intend to give them any money without knowing how much of it will actually be spent on space, and how much on fund raising, administration, and other overhead. If any of you have access to a financial summary, I would appreciate a copy, but please, no flames.
