Of course there are Cubs fans that work (or take up space at some place that pays them :-}). And of course these fans would like to see night baseball at Wrigley so they could go see their team play. But since these people are fans, they also don't want their team penalized just because they don't have lights in their park! If the Cubs are forced to install lights at Wrigley, then they should be allowed to do it during the off season, so they can parctice there a while, and then play the whole season under the lights (this, of course, does nothing to solve the current problem, but is only fair!). Installing lights just for the playoffs and World Series (if either, or both, happens) is ludicrous. No team can be expected to play the most important games of the season, and maybe their lives, under strange lighting in their own park! What would Mets or Phillies or Padres or... fans say if the lights in their parks were suddenly moved, or changed to a different type just before the playoffs? I bet they wouldn't be happy! Oh well, enough of the light conversation :-} P.S. To Dan Rokhsar; Dan... I didn't pick on your article out of any malice. I had just read enough of this discussion that I couldn't keep silent any longer. -- Ron Lewen ....ihnp4!tellab1!rcl <----------------------------------------------------------------> Th...th...th...th...that's all, folks!
