This is new for me so bear with.  A while back someone did a survey for
opinions about the ST movies and where they were going (or not).  The
only result I remember is that a large majority would like Chekov to
take a hike.  Anyway, I didn't save the results and now I wish I had. 
Did anyone save them or could the originator send them to me (by
electronic mail)?
