The following is taken from the September Interstat: STIII opened well in London (#2 behind INDIANA) and still doing good biz in Japan with fall releases in other countries. Trek-of-the-Month Club Eddie Egan (Paramount's publicist for ST) reports that Para's deal with Simon and Schuster fell through, with the studio now "shopping around." ST III video tape -will "most probably" be available Thanksgiving 1984. He (Egan) adds "The rumored Decenber 1985 release of Star Trek IV is not likely at all." UCLA course, seminar, or workshop? Sept 22 Star Trek III: A Writer-Producer's Perspective on the Making of an Epic Motion Picture taught by Harve Bennett Leonard Nimoy will move back into his Paramount office next spring to begin work on ST IV.
