In response to your Dick Van Dyke trivia questions:

(1) Richie's middle name was "Rosebud"
(2) Rob and Laura chose the name "Rosebud" because it represented
    the initials of names suggested by their relatives:
    (_R_o_b_e_r_t _O_s_c_a_r _S_a_m_u_e_l _E_d_w_a_r_d _B_e_n_j_a_m_i_n _U_l_y_s_s_e_s _D_a_v_i_d)

Although I haven't been a die-hard Dick Van Dyke fan, I enjoy watching
reruns of the show whenever possible (unfortunately, they always seem
to be shown in the early afternoon here in the Chicago area).  I hope
to see more discussion on DVD from other fans on the net.
