I recently realized, while watching an old Bob Newhart Show,
the following astounding similarities between it and the Dick
Van Dyke Show:

TDVDS was directed by Jerry Paris who also appeared in it as
Rob's neighbor, Jerry the dentist.  TBNS was directed by Peter
Bonerz who also appeared in it as Bob's office-neighbor, Jerry
the orthodontist.  As if this weren't conincidence enough, the
main character of both shows was named Robert.
