Jeopardy has returned to television after an absence of about 5 years. Happily, they have retained the same format as the previous 2 incarnations, with Jeopardy, Double Jeopardy and Final Jeopardy. Categories are similar to the old shows with increased dollar amounts awarded ($100-$500 for Jeopardy and $200-$1000 for Double Jeopardy). Alex Trebek, while not in the same class as Art Fleming, is passable as the host, though he sometimes gets in the way with inane comments. The best thing of all, though, is that the ORIGINAL MUSIC is used while the contestants are writing their answers (sorry, questions) to Final Jeopardy. It had been YEARS since I heard it, what great memories it brings back! I just hope that this version will stay on longer than the previous one.
