I was looking at the Virtual Protocol Machine stuff that ATT's System V
has for PDP-11s, VAXen and 3Bs and it looked like a really neat way
to get a front-end processor that implemented X.25, IBM rje, etc.

If a company came out with a Multibus or VME version of the VPM,
would anyone be interested?
