I would agree that the Proton monitor (19" is the one I've been looking at) seems to have the best picture quality. However, the NEC 1901M monitor/receiver can be had for $540 in my area, and thus is substantiallycheaper than the Proton. I'm still debating with myself on which way to go. (What I'd really like to do is take both home with me, and live with each for a few days. Oh well!) By the way, the 19" monitor/receiver sold by Magnavox is actually the NEC 1901M, with different name tags. It typically goes for ~$60 more, it seems. Bob Schleicher ihuxk!rs55611
