Lines: 7 When wine bottle labels will not come off any other way, it may be necessary to call the winery to find out how to do it. This happened with a bottle of Ridge Zinfandel one time. It seems they were using some non-standard type of glue that simply would not allow the label to be soaked off normally with steam or hot water. They suggested putting the bottle in the freezer for a few hours then trying to remove the label with a razor blade. Surprisingly enough, this worked.
