Having just waded through a set of people telling Jeff "It ain't like
that", I think most of those who responded missed or ignored the point
of his article.  Jeff didn't say what he described was the way things 
OUGHT to be, nor did I interpret it as claiming that most men thought
that way; I understood him as saying that perhaps many men, at a 
level more suitable for psychoanalysis than rational discussion, have
the attitudes described.

"No I don't" is NOT a useful response to such an assertion!  It does
not address the point.
