It looks pretty good (I worked on the smalltalk engine at DEC but it got de-supported and turned into just a vaxStation). As for articles on Smalltalk, I have a list of about 20, but the only way you will really get a feel for it is to read the Addison Wesley books, sit yourself down and plow through - it will be worth it, as the LRG people are very good writers and have more original insights into algorithms than the rest of the community.
