Most of them are NOT as smart as the people they tax the highest, namely rich, self-made people. They certainly aren't smarter than the collective of all the people who made their own fortunes - and yet they claim they know better how to spend their money. They aren't smarter than me, and least not in my profession, yet they seek to govern and regulate it. Why do we let them take control of our lives? Is it so they can keep the masses in check, too, not hurting us to much in theory? Is it because you truly believe they are better than you at directing your life and the disposition of your money?
