To disable the banner page, /NOFLAG is used. There is also a FLAG qualifier on the START/QUEUE that enables whether the banner page is normally printed. Where I used to work, the device queue LPA0 had NOFLAG, but SYS$PRINT had FLAG. Files printed by PRINT would have a header, files copied to LPA0: didn't. The local RJE system we wrote would copy files to LPA0: and would have only IBM headers, while normal VAX prints would have VMS headers. David Cathey Texas Instruments
