New timetable includes a train for the hackers; "Mail Express" leaves Boston at 2am for New York (& Washington, although not shown in table.) Also New York City - Vermont (Essex Jct. & South) is $30 one way ($5 more Fr and Su). Fare applies to all intermediate points where regular fare is not cheaper. According to NARP (source for this stuff) Amtrak's decided to do some- thing about People Express, hence these fares. I have a reasonable-sized list of other Amtrak special fares all over the country; send mail for details.
