I've established archive directories in /usr/spool/oldnews for "general"
and "hacknews", both of which have enough useful stuff in them that we'd
like to try keeping them on-line indefinitely.  The last seven months or
so of stuff are in there already, since we've got that much back news
sitting around in /exp.
