None of you will ever carry a child for nine months. None of you will ever lose a job because of a pregnancy. None of you will ever flunk out of professional school because of the physical, emotional, and financial burdons caused by an unwanted pregnancy. Every woman who decides to have an abortion has made a very difficult decision based on what she as a human being believes to be right. It is sad to think that so many men must continue to do what they can to keep women barefoot and pregnant. To you it is a stimulating philosophical discussion. To the women you are trying to control it is a deeply personal decision that will effect their lives forever. I wish you would accept the need to let women make the choices they must make about THEIR bodies, even if you don't respect their ability to make an intelligent choice.
