A friend of mine is considering buying the new AR turntable, called
"The Turntable."  Lists for about $500.  Anyone know anything about
it?  (I used to have one of the originals -- still do, in fact -- and
something that no other turntable I've seen has, but that it does, is
an almost complete immunity to room vibration, due to the very "loose"
suspension from the outer "box" of the tonearm and platter on a common
chassis.)
