Applicable System components are as follows (no flames, pleez!): * Carver Receiver * Wharfdale E-90 Speakers * Technics SL-J2 Turntable w/cheepo cartridge * DBX 500 Professional Subharmonic Synthesizer * 16 guage speaker wire (15' lengths) Definite improvement in solidity of bass when used with speakers. This effect was problably amplified by DBX 500 signal processor. Turntable improvement not so obvious (probably because its so lo-fi), but still discernable. Haven't tried Tip Toes with CD player yet, though I don't expect an improvement. The dealer I purchased Tip Toes from (Dimensions in Stereo, Torrance, CA) said "dramatic improvement in speakers, marginal in turntables (depends on stability), could not detect any improvement in preamps, amps, etc". Advise: Definite must for speakers; for 6 * $7 = $42 + tax, best improvement per dollar you will ever make to your system. Anything else, let your "golden ears" be your guide.
