There have been a variety of articles the last few days concerning
people who put leaded gas in their cars which are suppossed to run
on unleaded.  It was also mentioned that some people remove their
catalytic converters.

What would this kind of a removal involve and what kind of an effect
would it have on the engine?  Is there any kind of a performance
benefit as well as a benefit in cheaper gasoline?

Any comments sent would be appreciated.
