Last year, VW opened an assembly plant for Santanas (= Quantums) in
Shangai, China.  The Chinese are now expressing interest in also
assembling the new Audi 100 (read: 5000).  Moving up in the world...

The new Chrysler Lasers and Daytonas have switched to a 5-bolt wheel
bolt pattern, apparently on a 6" rim instead of 5.5".  The tires
(Eagle GT) are changed from 195/60HR15 to 205/60HR15.

1985 Porsche models will not be available until early next year;
dealers will be told the prices at a January meeting, and the four
valve-per-cylinder 928 will be out soon after, to be followed by a 944
Turbo.
