What I have found in searching is that there is a very confusing rating system for tires. Consumer Reports, some time ago, reported on a rating system involving letters "A" through "C." The dealers, on the other hand, have been telling me about the letters that appear between the numbers (such as the "SR" in 185SR14). Would somebody like to illuminate me on this arcana? Any good advice will also be welcomed; bad advice will be redirected to /dev/null, using the dwim(1) utility. willie heck AT&T Information Systems - holmdel hou5g!wsh
