I have just purchased a new  book  by  Adin  Staynsalts.   He  calls  it
Madrikh latalmud (A Guide to the Talmud).  I have yet to read it, but it
is supposed to pick up where Talmud lakol (The  Essential  Talmud)  left
off.   If  this  new book maintains the quality, it should be excellent.
An English translation is supposed to be soon forthcoming.
