The October issue of Motorcyclist magazine has a test on the '85
Harley Davidson "Tour Glide Classic," aka FLTC, which they conclude
is a pretty decent machine.

The part of the article that I found most interesting is the wet [sic]
weight comparison of the FLTC with three Japanese tourers, e.g.,

               1985        1984        1984	  1984
               HD          Kawasaki    Honda      Yamaha
               FLTC        ZN1300      GL1200A    XVZ12D

Wet weight     772         918         790         810        
(lb)

As you can see, the HD is:
	15.9% lighter than the Kawasaki,
	 2.3% lighter than the Honda, and
	 4.7% lighter than the Yamaha.

My, how things change!
