It looks like the piece that screws onto the handset, and in fact replaces the mouthpiece (transmitter). Instead of having a transmitter element, it has a RJ-11 jack. It's made of some soft stuff, which allows you to just press it into place. There seems to be enough sidetone to allow the modem receiver to work. About $4.00 -+. I've tried it, and it seems to work.
