I have not gone up and down the stairs, just down until I die from some overgrown scary. I have only played 5.3. So I guess that if I were to tell you that I have found this nifty scroll that is called "detect food" and have used it to either find food on a new level, or to make my nose tingle on levels where there is no food, you'll probably tell me that I didn't. Of course, these scrolls were used after they were identified, so I would have to tell you that you were wrong! And, BTW, I enjoy hearing that there are actually people out there that have found the Amulet. The opinions of neophytes like me may not be as valuable as the experienced rogue player. BTW, do you have an address that you could include hencforth in your articles so I don't have to post these kind of things to the net? Ross M. Greenberg @ NYU ----> allegra!cmcl2!acf4!greenber <----
