A friend of ours has a pet duck, which keeps his snails in line. He has often offered to loan out his duck for snail control to anyone who promised that they didn't use poisons in their gardens. We just pick them up and throw them over the fence, into the adjoining creek, where the crayfish eat them. Brian Reid Stanford
