To do this joke justice (you could burn it...) you have to get the facts straight: It's not a Cadillac. It involves a Datsun 2[48]0Z, aka a "Z car". Now there is some motivation for the pun. You don't just call a random Cadillac with an "S" on the side an "S car". Beyond that, to be done properly, a shaggy-dog (or snail) story has to be l-o-n-g and painful.
